What we work on
Members research a wide range of topics on the politics of age and Japan. Recent examples include the careers of young politicians, young voters and social media, uncontested elections, political institutions, pensions, childcare, education, and the hometown tax program. They also help build and check the Japanese Municipal Elections Dataset, tracing candidates and results through newspaper archives and official records.
Join
Members are Yale undergraduates with an interest in Japan, political science, or both. Japanese helps for much of the work but is not required for all of it. If you are a Yale student and would like to join, just send me a note.
